Bus Stop Burgers & Brewhouse Opens in Minneapolis, MN

Vintage bus-themed restaurant and micro-brewery will hold a tailgate-style party in honor of its opening and Vikings vs. Bears game day matchup.

Minneapolis

Bus Stop Burgers & Brewhouse, the second Minneapolis-based concept designed by Williston Holding Company’s Chief Development Officer, Brian Ingram, will open its doors on Sunday, December 30th with a giant tailgate-style party in time for a NFC North divisional matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. The restaurant and micro-brewery will focus on blended gourmet burgers, State Fair-inspired starters, scratch made pies, locally curated draft cocktails and craft beer, including several of its own brewed on site including a Pilsner, East Coast IPA, Lager, Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter and Black Currant Gose. The beers were developed in collaboration with Master Brewer, Brian Watson, who worked closely with Ingram on these specific recipes. Bus Stop Burgers & Brewhouse is located in the Wells Fargo building in downtown Minneapolis adjacent to U.S. Bank Stadium at 620 South 4th Street, Suite 130, Minneapolis, MN 55415 and opens daily at 11am.

The star of the menu is its burgers, created with a variety of proprietary blends developed by Ingram and the restaurant’s culinary team. Available on a bun or in a bowl, these aren’t your father’s burgers. In addition to custom-blended beef burgers like the IPA Cascade Hop Burger (blended with Cascade hops and beer cheddar), house specialties will also include a Thai Chicken Burger (blended with Thai lemongrass and green curry chestnuts), Salmon Burger (blended with capers and fresh dill), and a Nashville Hot Gobbler (blended with Nashville hot seasoning and Tennessee spice). Each burger can be topped with gourmet toppings ranging from Texas Green Chili to State Fair Cheesy Chips. An assortment of State-Fair-Blue-Ribbon worthy starters include Tempura Battered Cheese Curds (Wisconsin curds sliced into squares and battered in beer, served with house made ranch), Super-Sized Keg Tots (Reuben with 1000 Island dip or bacon cheddar with beer cheese dip) and Chicken Chicharrons (Tennessee hot chicken skins with spicy honey and house made onion dip). Guests are encouraged to save room for dessert, as a selection of scratch made pies provide the culinary finale. These pies will rotate based on the season, and the initial offering will include Brown Butterscotch, Banana Cream Parfait and Chocolate Pudding.

Bus Stop’s interior includes vintage buses, bus-station-inspired architecture, period-specific signage, hand-painted wall graphics, and a 2,500-square-foot patio complete with swinging chairs and a customized bus, perfect for private events and group outings. In addition, the restaurant showcases bus station seating to fully round-out the dining experience. Vintage buses procured for the restaurant and converted by locally operated Chameleon

Concessions include:

  • A 1938 Dittmar bus, originally in transit in Minneapolis in the 1930s and 40s, is the flagship statement piece of the restaurant. It sits on the patio and can be booked for private events or game days.
  • A 1955 vintage bus, still intact with its original lights and converted into Bus Stop’s main bar, offers diners indoor and outdoor seating.
  • A 1920 trolley bus serves as the counter for customers to place their food orders.

“Minneapolis is one of the best food cities in the U.S. and continues to evolve as a place not just for locals, but as a must-visit destination for those who travel with their stomachs,” said Williston Holding Company CEO, Marcus Jundt. “Bus Stop Burgers & Brewhouse combines photo-worthy décor with familiar food that has been reimagined to be truly special, and something we hope our guests crave time and time again.”
